Sprained Ankle

Sprained Ankle - treatment by Soft Tissue Therapy

A first-degree ankle sprain is where the ligament’s fibres have experienced a minor partial tear or have just been overstretched. The joint should also retain most of its stability with little swelling around the injured joint.

A second-degree ankle sprain would mean that the ligament has more severely partially teared, swelling bruising and moderate pain would …

Plantar Faciitis

Plantar Fasciitis treatment of heel pain by Soft Tissue Therapist

Plantar fasciitis involves inflammation of the plantar fascia (connective tissue), which is a tough fibrous band of connective tissue.

This pain may get worse when standing still on it for a long duration, first thing in the morning or after periods of inactivity. It may feel better after light activity, such as a light walking but worse with more vigorous exercise ….

Achilles Tendonitis

Tendonitis refers to inflammation of a tendon, in this case the Achilles. Other tendons within the body most commonly susceptible to tendonitis are the rotator cuff, wrist extensors, wrist flexors and patella tendon.

Achilles Tendon injury can take place after experiencing overuse or sudden stress/intense strain ….

Could not recommend Molly enough! After 9 treatments following hip flexor injury from running, the difference after just two treatments was amazing. Not only did Molly help me through my recovery, she also taught me remedial techniques to prevent future sporting injury

CHLOE SARSBY

Molly is a very diligent and attentive therapist. Her diagnosis process was very thorough and treatment was comprehensive. After just a few sessions I was very happy with the result and with the plan I was provided with for prevention. I thoroughly commend Molly for her treatment skills and care with patients.

Paul Coleman

Molly was amazing. I had a really bad back and shoulder from work which built up a lot of tension, then i went to see Molly a few times and She really helped. She used a technique called soft tissue release and neuromuscular technique. It is now back to normal. She even sent me exercises and stretches to help me out. Would highly recommend!

PAIGE TAYLOR

Following a severe ankle sprain several months ago I neglected to get treatment. This resulted in lack of range of motion and loss of strength. Seeing Molly has remedied my issues and I now have full strength and nearly back to normal range of movement. I would strongly recommend Norfolk Tissue Therapy for the treatment of any sports injury.

injury rehab

The importance of understanding the cause of these issues and injuries is overlooked and needs addressing. This is incorporated through assessing, treating and providing remedial exercises and advice to help clients return to their sport and everyday activities.

Mobility

Mobility is just as important as flexibility, if not more so. The range of motion at a joint is closley related to injury risk. Therefore, ensuring that a client has the ability to move actively through full range of movement is a crucial factor in injury prevention.

Sport taping

Currently training with Sport Tape. Kinesiology Tape is a great way of helping recovery of injuries and providing support on areas of weakness. It aims to reduce pain during the rehabilitaion stage, improve tissue healing and potentially enhances performace, through injury protection.
